This Privacy Policy explains what information Seafood Portal ("we," "our," or "us") collects when you visit seafood-portal.com, why we collect it, who it may be shared with, and what choices you have. Contact form: if you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, your email address, and the text of your message. We use this information only to reply to you.
Recipe ratings and comments: when you rate or comment on a recipe, we receive the name you enter and the text you submit. Comments may be displayed publicly on the recipe page, so please do not include personal details you would not want others to see.

1.2. Information collected automatically

Server logs: like most websites, our web server records standard log data, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use these logs for security and troubleshooting.
First-party visit statistics: we keep simple statistics on our own server, such as the page viewed and the referring site. Raw visit records are kept for 7 days, after which only daily totals remain.
Cookies and similar technologies: set by our service providers, as described in sections 3 and 4 below.

2. How We Use Your Information

To answer messages sent through the contact form
To publish and moderate ratings and comments on recipes
To keep the site secure, diagnose technical problems, and prevent abuse
To understand which recipes and categories readers use, so we can improve the site
To show advertising that helps cover the cost of running the site

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contact form to send marketing mailings.

3. Advertising

The site displays ads served by Google AdSense and by our programmatic advertising partner HB Agency. These providers use cookies to deliver ads and measure how they perform. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Personalized ads from Google are shown only with your consent. Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a Google consent message the first time they visit, where you can accept or decline, and you can change your choice later. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

4. Analytics, Security, and Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to produce aggregated statistics about how visitors use the site, such as which pages are most viewed. These statistics help us decide what to improve or add.
Cloudflare provides content delivery and security for the site and may set technical cookies needed for those functions.
Our own server records the first-party visit statistics described in section 1.2.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as saved consent choices, may not work as intended if cookies are disabled.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share information only in these situations:

Service providers: the providers named in sections 3 and 4 process data as described above, under their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if the law requires it or in response to a valid request from a public authority.
Business changes: if the site is transferred to a new owner, the information described in this policy may be transferred with it.

6. Data Retention

Raw first-party visit records: 7 days, then only daily totals are kept.
Contact messages: kept as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up, then deleted.
Ratings and comments: kept on the recipe page until you ask us to remove them or we remove them during moderation.
Server logs: kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Data held by Google, HB Agency, and Cloudflare: governed by those companies' own retention policies.

7. Your Rights Under the GDPR (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time, for example for personalized advertising, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for personalized ads and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and taking steps you request, such as replying to your message.

8. Your Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request access to or deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. 9. Children's Privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form or a comment, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, including the security services provided through Cloudflare. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Links

The site links to our social profiles on Pinterest and Facebook and may link to other external sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. We encourage you to review them before sharing personal information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the services we use change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Please check back from time to time.
