Ingredients:
- 1 sheet Nori (seaweed)
- 1/3 cup Sushi rice
- 1/3 Avocado, sliced
- 1 slice Salmon (sushi-grade)
- 1 dash Cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Rinse 1/3 cup sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions. Let cool.
- Slice the avocado and cucumber into thin strips. Slice the salmon as needed for rolling.
- Place the sushi mat on a flat surface. Lay the nori sheet shiny side down on the mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over 2/3 of the nori, leaving a border at the top.
- Flip the nori and rice over. Arrange the salmon, avocado, and cucumber in a line across the nori. Drizzle a small amount of mayonnaise over the fillings.
- Start rolling the sushi away from you, using the mat to help guide the roll. Press gently but firmly to keep the roll tight.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and serve immediately.
