Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet Nori (seaweed)
  • 1/3 cup Sushi rice
  • 1/3 Avocado, sliced
  • 1 slice Salmon (sushi-grade)
  • 1 dash Cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Rinse 1/3 cup sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions. Let cool.
  2. Slice the avocado and cucumber into thin strips. Slice the salmon as needed for rolling.
  3. Place the sushi mat on a flat surface. Lay the nori sheet shiny side down on the mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over 2/3 of the nori, leaving a border at the top.
  4. Flip the nori and rice over. Arrange the salmon, avocado, and cucumber in a line across the nori. Drizzle a small amount of mayonnaise over the fillings.
  5. Start rolling the sushi away from you, using the mat to help guide the roll. Press gently but firmly to keep the roll tight.
  6. Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and serve immediately.
