Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar (15ml)
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter (10ml)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (5ml)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce (15ml)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (2.5ml)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • 1 salmon filet, skin on or off, about 2 ½ pounds (approximately 1.1kg)

Instructions:

  1. Combine brown sugar, butter, and honey in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Whisk in olive oil, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Let the glaze cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Line a large baking pan with aluminum foil.
  8. Place the salmon filet in the prepared baking pan.
  9. Pour or brush the honey-mustard glaze evenly over the salmon filet.
  10. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
