  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, half of the chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk briefly to combine.
  3. Pat the shrimp very dry with paper towels. Transfer the dry shrimp to the large bowl.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp. Toss gently until every piece is evenly coated.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp and toss one final time to coat.
  6. Spread the coated shrimp out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring there is space between each shrimp.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Shrimp are done when pink and opaque, curled into a loose 'C' shape. Watch closely if using the broiler for browning.
  8. Remove from the oven. Immediately sprinkle with the remaining fresh parsley and serve straight away.
