Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs fresh Whiting fillets (skinless)
- 3 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced into a paste
- 1 large Lemon, half sliced into rounds and half juiced
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley or dill, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a paper towel to pat each whiting fillet until it is completely dry on both sides to ensure the seasoning adheres correctly.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
- Arrange the fillets in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Coat the fillets generously with the butter mixture using a brush or spoon.
- Sprinkle the fish evenly with sea salt and cracked black pepper. Tuck the lemon slices between the fish pieces for extra aroma.
- Bake in the center rack for 10–12 minutes until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily. Optional: Broil for the final 60 seconds for a slightly crisp edge.
