Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2-3 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon honey (or agave syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add the cleaned prawns to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove prawns from marinade and discard remaining marinade.
  4. Cook the prawns in the hot pan for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. For grilling, thread the prawns onto skewers.
  5. Transfer the cooked prawns to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately.
