Ingredients:
- 2 (4-6 ounce) tilapia fillets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Trim green beans.
- Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add green beans and garlic; sauté until crisp-tender. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Pat tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add olive oil to the skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tilapia fillets until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway. (Check for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Spoon the lemon garlic sauce over the tilapia fillets.
- Arrange green beans on plates. Top with the lemon garlic tilapia. Garnish with fresh parsley.
