Ingredients:
- 4 fillets of white fish (cod, haddock, or tilapia, approx. 150-200g each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 1 lemon (zest and juice)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (1g)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (1g)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Rinse and pat dry the fish fillets with a paper towel. Place them skin-side down in a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the fish fillets. Let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Cover the fish with foil (optional for moisture) and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Check doneness; fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
