Ingredients:
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tuna steaks, about 6 ounces each
- Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g. cilantro or parsley)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, honey, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- Place tuna steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over tuna and seal (or cover). Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).
- Remove tuna from marinade and discard the marinade. Place them on the grill. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach the desired doneness.
- Allow tuna to rest for a couple of minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.
