Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 4 salmon fillets, skin-on (6 oz each)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together miso paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic until smooth.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish. Pour miso marinade over the salmon, ensuring it’s well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade and place on a lightly greased baking sheet or grill. Bake for 12-15 minutes or grill for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Brush the salmon with the reserved marinade in the last few minutes of cooking for a glaze.
  6. Plate the salmon and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy immediately!
