Ingredients:

  • 1 can (5 oz / 140 g) of tuna in water, drained
  • 1 ripe avocado, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons / 30 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped (to taste)
  • Red onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Drain the tuna and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Halve and pit the avocado. Scoop the flesh into the bowl with the tuna.
  3. Using a fork or potato masher, mash the tuna and avocado together until well combined but still slightly chunky.
  4. Stir in Greek yogurt or mayonnaise, lime juice, Dijon mustard, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed; add more lime juice or salt if desired.
  6. Top with fresh coriander, red onion, and serve with cherry tomatoes on the side.
