Ingredients:
- 1 package (approx. 454g / 1 lb) Trader Joe’s Marinated Bulgogi Beef
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Sesame Oil (optional, for tossing the beef post-cooking)
- 1 cup (240g) Cooked White Rice (short-grain preferred) or Brown Rice
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Soy Sauce (or Coconut Aminos, for dipping)
- 2 medium Spring Onions (Scallions), finely sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tsp (5g) Toasted White Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Unpack the beef and carefully separate the thin slices of meat. Place the separated beef slices onto a paper towel-lined plate and gently pat them to absorb most of the excess liquid marinade. (Draining is crucial for crispy results.)
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 3 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil if necessary. Arrange half of the drained beef slices in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overlap.
- Cook the first batch for 4 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
- Open the basket, gently toss the beef slices using tongs, or give the basket a good shake. Cook for an additional 4 to 6 minutes, depending on your preferred level of crispness. The beef should be nicely browned with slightly caramelised edges and fully cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked bulgogi to a serving platter. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining beef slices. Optionally, toss the finished meat with 1 teaspoon of sesame oil for extra aroma.
- Serve the bulgogi piping hot over steamed rice, sprinkled liberally with toasted sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
