Ingredients:
- Russet potatoes (baking potatoes), medium to large, even in size (Approximately 400-800g)
- Olive oil or vegetable oil (15-30ml)
- Kosher salt (5g)
- Freshly ground black pepper (2.5g)
- Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Scrub potatoes thoroughly and pat dry.
- Prick potatoes all over with a fork or knife.
- Rub potatoes with oil and season generously with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Place potatoes directly on the baking sheet and bake until soft and easily pierced with a fork.
- For extra crispy skin, increase oven temperature to 450°F (232°C) for the last 5-10 minutes of baking.
- Serve immediately with desired toppings.
