Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (454g) cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 New England-style top-split hot dog buns (or brioche buns), lightly toasted if desired
  • 1/4 cup (30g) finely chopped celery (optional, for crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt (to taste)
  • Optional Garnish: Fresh chives or parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Gently melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts. Don’t let it brown!
  2. In a large bowl, gently toss the cooked lobster meat with the melted butter, chopped celery (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix; you want to keep the lobster chunks intact.
  3. Divide the lobster mixture evenly among the toasted (or untoasted) hot dog buns.
  4. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley (if using) and serve immediately. A little extra drizzle of melted butter never hurt anyone!
