Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (900g) of snow crab legs, thawed if frozen
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) of Old Bay seasoning (optional)
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon (1g) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. If using, sprinkle Old Bay seasoning into the water for extra flavor.
  2. Place the crab legs in a steamer basket, then lower into the boiling water. Cover the pot and steam for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic to the melted butter; sauté gently until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Stir in lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the steamed crab legs to a serving platter using tongs. Drizzle or serve the garlic butter sauce in small bowls alongside.
