Ingredients:
- 350 grams hot cooked rice
- 1 ½ tablespoons rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 8 slices sashimi salmon or 4 imitation crab sticks
- ¼ avocado
- 1 leaf lettuce
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- White sesame seeds for rolling
Instructions:
- Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt into hot cooked rice until well combined. Let the rice cool to room temperature.
- Peel and slice avocado into long strips, about 1 cm wide. Sprinkle avocado strips with a little vinegar to prevent browning.
- Spread white sesame seeds on a sheet of plastic wrap, forming a 13 x 13 cm square.
- Wet your hands to prevent sticking. Place half of the cool rice on top of the sesame seeds and press into a square.
- Spread mayonnaise over the rice and layer lettuce, avocado, and salmon or imitation crab carefully on top.
- Using the plastic wrap to assist, roll the sushi tightly from one end to the other. Remove the plastic wrap once rolled and slice into pieces with a sharp knife.
- Repeat the process with the remaining rice and fillings.
