Ingredients:
- 1 piece Bitter Gourd (苦瓜)
- 10 pieces Fish Ball (鱼圆)
- 1 piece Dried Squid (干鱿鱼)
- Appropriate amount Fresh Prawns (鲜虾) to taste
- 1 tablespoon Concentrated Chicken Stock (浓缩鸡汤)
- Moderate amount Pepper Powder (胡椒粉) to taste
- Moderate amount Fried Red Onion (炸红葱) to taste
- Cooking Oil for stir-frying
- Water for boiling
Instructions:
- Clean the bitter gourd and cut it into pieces.
- Soak the cut bitter gourd in water for about 10 minutes to reduce its bitterness.
- Cut the fish balls in half.
- Soak the dried squid in boiling water until softened.
- After soaking for about ten minutes, cut the squid into strips.
- Prepare fresh prawns by peeling them.
- Heat a pan on an electric stove over medium heat.
- Add a little cooking oil to the pan, then add the chopped bitter gourd and stir-fry until slightly soft.
- Once fluffy, add in the halved fish balls and sliced dried squid to the pan.
- Stir well, then add one tablespoon of concentrated chicken stock along with moderate amounts of pepper powder; mix thoroughly.
