Ingredients:
- 4 Salmon Fillets (approx. 5-6 oz each)
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons Honey
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 4 cloves Garlic, finely minced or grated
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar (or fresh lemon juice)
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Ginger Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley or Chives, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Glaze: Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vinegar/lemon juice, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl until fully combined. Set aside.
- Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry using paper towels. Lightly brush or rub with oil, then season simply with salt and pepper.
- Initial Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring space between them. Cook for 5 minutes.
- First Glaze & Cook: After 5 minutes, carefully brush or spoon half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the top surfaces of the salmon. Return to the air fryer and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
- Final Baste & Finish: Remove the basket. Brush the remaining glaze over the cooked sides. Return to the air fryer and cook for a final 2-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Watch carefully as the honey can burn quickly.
- Rest and Serve: Remove salmon immediately from the air fryer. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh herbs. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
