Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, deveined and shell-on
- 2 tablespoons (30g) Old Bay seasoning
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 2 cups (475ml) water
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Pour water into the pot and bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Stir in half of the Old Bay seasoning into the water for infused flavor.
- Toss the shrimp with the remaining Old Bay seasoning in a bowl.
- Place the steamer basket or colander over the boiling water and layer the shrimp in the basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Cover the pot with the lid and steam shrimp for 5-7 minutes. Check for doneness: shrimp should be opaque and pink.
- Remove shrimp with tongs or slotted spoon, serve with lemon wedges, and sprinkle with parsley if desired.
