Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (120ml) boiling water
- 1/2 tsp (2.5g) salt
- 1 lb (450g) raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp (15ml) soy sauce
- 1 tsp (5g) cornstarch
- 2 tsp (10ml) sesame oil
- 2 tbsp (30g) ginger, finely minced
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Salt and white pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Gradually add boiling water while stirring until combined.
- Knead until smooth, then cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Finely chop the prawns and transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Add soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, ginger, green onions, salt, and white pepper.
- Mix well until ingredients are combined.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a circle.
- Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
- Prepare a steamer with water and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Place dumplings in the steamer, leaving some space between them.
- Steam for about 15 minutes or until the dumplings are translucent and cooked through.
- Arrange dumplings on a plate and serve hot.
