Ingredients:

  • 12 oz canned tuna (drained)
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime juice, and garlic powder until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Drain the tuna thoroughly, pressing it against the lid of the can to remove all excess liquid. In a large bowl, flake the tuna with a fork.
  3. Stir in the egg, panko, green onions, ginger, Sriracha, soy sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties (about 1 inch thick).
  5. Carefully place the patties in the pan. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side without moving them, until they develop a deep mahogany-colored crust. Flip once and cook until the edges are crisp and the center is heated through.
