Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup olive oil (60 ml)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (45 ml)
- 1 tablespoon honey (15 g)
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (5 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin (5 g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 (6-ounce) fillets of firm white fish (e.g., snapper, tilapia, or cod)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, red chili flakes, garlic, ginger, cumin, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Place fish fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring all surfaces are coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare your grill for medium-high heat, ensuring grates are clean.
- Remove the fish from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place fillets on the grill, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Flip carefully and cook until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, about 10 minutes total.
- Remove from grill, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve with lime wedges.
