Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup chicken bone broth
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon zest

Instructions:

  1. Pour the chicken bone broth into the bottom of the Ninja Speedi pot. Place the Cook & Crisp tray in the elevated position by pulling out the legs.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the beans on the tray in an even layer. Close the lid and flip the SmartSwitch to Rapid Cooker mode.
  4. Select Steam & Crisp, set the temperature to 390°F (200°C), and set the timer to 7 minutes.
  5. When the timer reaches 2 minutes remaining, open the lid and add the unsalted butter, sliced garlic, and red pepper flakes directly onto the beans.
  6. Close the lid and allow the cycle to finish for the remaining 120 seconds to mellow the garlic.
  7. Transfer the beans to a serving platter and finish by sprinkling with sea salt and fresh lemon zest.
