Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper until a thick, vibrant red paste forms.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels and place them skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spoon the paprika rub evenly over the top of each fillet, pressing it gently into the flesh to ensure full coverage.
- Cook using one of two methods: bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, or air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 8–11 minutes. Remove when the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Allow the salmon to rest for 3 minutes, then squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
