Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (680g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60ml) dry white wine
- 1/4 cup (packed) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions:
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve immediately with plenty of crusty bread for dipping. Enjoy your Portuguese Garlic Shrimp!
