Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (900g) Dungeness crab legs, thawed if frozen
- 1 lemon, halved
- 2-3 cups (480-720ml) water
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Fill the steamer pot with water
- Place the crab legs in the steamer basket, layering if necessary.
- Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes, or until shells turn bright orange and meat is heated through.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in parsley, salt, red pepper flakes, and black pepper; mix well.
- Remove crab legs from steamer and transfer to a serving dish. Serve with garlic butter sauce on the side for dipping.
