Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)
  • Fresh baguette or crusty bread for dipping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. In a bowl, combine shrimp with Old Bay seasoning. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and olive oil; allow butter to melt and foam.
  3. Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.
  4. Flip shrimp; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked (opaque and firm). Drizzle with lemon juice during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges and bread.
