Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp (56g) unsalted butter
- 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) lemon zest
- ½ tsp (3g) kosher salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 pinch (0.5g) ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp (4g) fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Melt the butter over medium heat in your skillet. Once it begins to bubble, add the minced garlic. Stir constantly for about 1 minute until the garlic smells fragrant and turns a pale golden color.
- Pour in the heavy whipping cream and stir to combine with the garlic butter. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and can coat the back of a spoon.
- Reduce the heat to low. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Remove from heat immediately to prevent the cream from curdling.
- Stir in the fresh parsley just before serving.
