Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp (56g) unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) lemon zest
  • ½ tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp (1g) freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 pinch (0.5g) ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp (4g) fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat in your skillet. Once it begins to bubble, add the minced garlic. Stir constantly for about 1 minute until the garlic smells fragrant and turns a pale golden color.
  2. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and stir to combine with the garlic butter. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and can coat the back of a spoon.
  3. Reduce the heat to low. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Remove from heat immediately to prevent the cream from curdling.
  5. Stir in the fresh parsley just before serving.
