Ingredients:
- 2 (6-ounce/170g each) salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon/15ml olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup/60ml ketchup
- 2 tablespoons/30ml honey
- 1 tablespoon/15ml apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon/15ml Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon/5ml smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon/2.5ml garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon/1.25ml onion powder
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using) until well combined.
- Arrange salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each fillet liberally with the smoky-sweet glaze.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of smoked paprika, if desired.
