Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried sea moss (about 5 ounces or 140 grams)
  • 2 cups filtered water for soaking
  • 1-2 cups additional filtered water for blending

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the dried sea moss thoroughly under cool running water to remove any impurities.
  2. Soak the cleaned sea moss in a bowl with 2 cups of filtered water for 4 to 12 hours, until it expands and becomes gelatinous.
  3. Drain the soaked sea moss and transfer it to a blender.
  4. Add 1 to 2 cups of filtered water to the blender (adjust based on desired thickness).
  5. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  6. Pour the blended mixture through a strainer or cheesecloth into an airtight container.
  7. Discard any solids and store the gel in the refrigerator, where it will thicken further.
