Ingredients:
- 1 cup dried sea moss (about 5 ounces or 140 grams)
- 2 cups filtered water for soaking
- 1-2 cups additional filtered water for blending
Instructions:
- Rinse the dried sea moss thoroughly under cool running water to remove any impurities.
- Soak the cleaned sea moss in a bowl with 2 cups of filtered water for 4 to 12 hours, until it expands and becomes gelatinous.
- Drain the soaked sea moss and transfer it to a blender.
- Add 1 to 2 cups of filtered water to the blender (adjust based on desired thickness).
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary.
- Pour the blended mixture through a strainer or cheesecloth into an airtight container.
- Discard any solids and store the gel in the refrigerator, where it will thicken further.
