Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried sea moss (approx. 70g; cleaned and prepared)
  • 2 cups filtered water (480ml, for blending)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (approx. 15g)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (approx. 21g, adjust to taste)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (approx. 30ml) or lime
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse dried sea moss under running water to remove any debris or salt.
  2. Place in a large bowl and cover with fresh water. Let soak for 4-24 hours until it expands and becomes soft.
  3. Drain the soaked sea moss and add it to a blender with 2 cups of filtered water.
  4. Blend until completely smooth and a gel-like consistency forms.
  5. In a mixing bowl or pitcher, combine the sea moss gel with grated ginger, honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice.
  6. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  7. For a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing down to extract all the liquid.
  8. Pour the drink into serving glasses over ice, if desired. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
