Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sriracha (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped (any color)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 8 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce) or 8 small tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Chop vegetables (onion, bell pepper, green onions) and mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic, ginger, and onions; sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add ground pork, breaking it apart. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and bell pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until all ingredients are combined and heated through.
  5. Lay out lettuce leaves or tortillas. Spoon the pork mixture onto each wrap, sprinkle with green onions and cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over wraps.
