Ingredients:
- 1-1.5 lbs snow crab legs, frozen or thawed
- 4 cups water (950ml) or 4 cups seafood broth (950ml)
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons butter (30g), melted, for serving
- Optional: Old Bay seasoning, to taste
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
- If frozen, thaw crab legs in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water. Briefly rinse under cold water before cooking.
- Decide whether to steam or boil the crab legs.
- For steaming: Add water (or broth) to a large pot, filling it just below the steamer basket. Bring the water to a rolling boil. Place the crab legs in the steamer basket. Cover the pot and steam for 5-8 minutes, or until heated through.
- For boiling: Bring water (or broth) to a rolling boil in a large pot. Gently add the crab legs to the boiling water. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until heated through.
- Remove the crab legs with tongs. Serve immediately with melted butter, lemon wedges, and optional Old Bay seasoning and parsley.
- Use crab crackers or kitchen shears to crack the shells and extract the delicious meat. Enjoy!
