Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (approx. 900g) Crab Legs (Snow crab, King crab, or Dungeness crab, depending on preference and availability), pre-cooked and frozen
  • 1 cup (240ml) Water
  • 1 Lemon, quartered
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning or similar seafood seasoning
  • 1/2 cup (115g/4oz) Unsalted Butter, cubed
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add water to the stockpot. Arrange lemon wedges in the bottom of the steamer basket or insert. Sprinkle with Old Bay (if using).
  2. Place the crab legs in the steamer basket. Cover and steam over medium-high heat until heated through.
  3. While the crab legs are steaming, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to brown the garlic.
  4. Stir in parsley, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  5. Arrange crab legs on a platter. Serve hot with the garlic butter sauce for dipping.
