Ingredients:
- 2 lbs (900g) pre-cooked crab legs (Snow, King, or Dungeness)
- 8 cups (2 liters) water
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Old Bay seasoning
- 1 lemon, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, melted (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Fill a large stockpot with water. Add Old Bay seasoning and the juice from one lemon half. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Carefully lower the crab legs into the boiling water using tongs. Make sure the legs are fully submerged.
- Once the water returns to a boil, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cover the pot.
- Simmer for 5-8 minutes, or until the crab legs are heated through. Avoid overcooking.
- Carefully remove the crab legs from the pot using tongs. Place them on a serving platter. Squeeze the remaining lemon half over the crab legs. Drizzle with melted butter (if using) and garnish with fresh parsley (if using). Serve immediately.
