Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and thoroughly pat the asparagus spears dry. Snap off the tough, woody ends.
- Place the spears in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well until every spear is lightly coated.
- Arrange the seasoned asparagus in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they do not overlap significantly.
- Roast for 8–10 minutes to slightly soften the spears.
- Remove the sheet from the oven and evenly sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the spears.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 3–5 minutes, or until the Parmesan is melted, bubbly, and golden brown around the edges. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Transfer immediately to a platter and serve warm.
