Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170g) Pan Fried Tilapia Fillets
- ½ cup (65g) All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (6g) Salt
- ½ tsp (1g) Black pepper
- ½ tsp (1g) Garlic powder
- ½ tsp (1g) Paprika
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive oil
- 2 tbsp (28g) Unsalted butter
- 1 Fresh lemon, cut into wedges
- 1 tbsp (4g) Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry using paper towels. In a shallow plate, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge each fillet in the mixture, shaking off any excess to ensure a translucent veil of flour.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil shimmers, add the fillets and carefully drop the butter into the pan around the fish. Sizzle undisturbed for 3–4 minutes.
- Flip the fillets once the edges are opaque and the bottom is deep golden brown. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove immediately.
