Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) Pan Fried Tilapia Fillets
  • ½ cup (65g) All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (6g) Salt
  • ½ tsp (1g) Black pepper
  • ½ tsp (1g) Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp (1g) Paprika
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp (28g) Unsalted butter
  • 1 Fresh lemon, cut into wedges
  • 1 tbsp (4g) Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry using paper towels. In a shallow plate, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge each fillet in the mixture, shaking off any excess to ensure a translucent veil of flour.
  2. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil shimmers, add the fillets and carefully drop the butter into the pan around the fish. Sizzle undisturbed for 3–4 minutes.
  3. Flip the fillets once the edges are opaque and the bottom is deep golden brown. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove immediately.
