Ingredients:

  • 2 whole sea bass (cleaned and scaled)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 red chili, sliced (or a bell pepper for less heat)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lime (or lemon juice)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the sea bass under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice.
  4. Place the cleaned sea bass on a large piece of aluminum foil or in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the marinade over the fish and sprinkle with sliced chili and chopped green onions.
  6. Wrap the fish in foil if using or cover it with another layer of foil if using a baking dish to create steam while cooking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
  10. Serve hot alongside steamed rice or vegetables for an authentic experience! Enjoy!
