Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb salmon fillets
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Note: Preheating ensures the fish starts searing immediately.
- Use paper towels to pat the salmon fillets completely dry on all sides, then season lightly with salt and pepper. Note: Wet fish will steam instead of roast.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, and paprika.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over each fillet, rubbing it into the sides to ensure full coverage.
- Place fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 130-135°F.
- Remove from the oven immediately.
- Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow carry over cooking. Note: The temp will rise about 5°F while resting.
