Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) fresh breadcrumbs (or panko)
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) mayonnaise
  • 1 large (50 g) egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp (5 g) Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) chopped fresh parsley (or cilantro)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, parsley, and lemon juice.
  3. Gently fold in the crab meat and breadcrumbs until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 8 patties, about 2 inches wide.
  5. Place the patties on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops with olive oil for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
