Ingredients:

  • 8 oz fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp capers, rinsed and chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or chives, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and tools. Remove the skin from the salmon fillet if necessary.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and fresh lemon juice. Use a fork or mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Flake the fresh salmon into the bowl with the cream cheese mixture. Use a fork to gently fold in the salmon until evenly combined.
  4. Stir in the chopped capers and fresh herbs. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the spread to a serving dish. Enjoy immediately or cover and refrigerate for enhanced flavor.
