Ingredients:
- 1/2 sac Mentaiko (spicy salted cod roe) or Tarako (salted cod roe)
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise or cream cheese
- 1 slice Sliced bread (white, whole grain, or your choice)
Instructions:
- Use the back of a kitchen knife to scrape out the insides of the mentaiko into a small bowl. Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature if using.
- Combine the scraped mentaiko with mayonnaise or softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Generously spread the mentaiko mixture over the slice of bread, ensuring it is completely covered.
- Place the slice of bread on a piece of aluminum foil. Toast in the toaster oven for about 4-5 minutes until crispy, keeping an eye to avoid burning.
