Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) sea salt
- Additional sea salt flakes for garnish
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturers instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 1-2 hours, until firm.
- Scoop the ice cream into serving bowls and sprinkle with additional sea salt flakes before serving.
