Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) sea salt
  • Additional sea salt flakes for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturers instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 1-2 hours, until firm.
  6. Scoop the ice cream into serving bowls and sprinkle with additional sea salt flakes before serving.
