Ingredients:

  • 12 cups water
  • 1 (3-ounce) package of crab boil seasoning (like Zatarain's or Old Bay)
  • 1/4 cup seafood seasoning blend (such as Old Bay)
  • 2 large lemons, quartered
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1.5 pounds smoked sausage, such as andouille or kielbasa, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 pounds small red potatoes
  • 6 ears corn, shucked and halved
  • 3 pounds large shrimp, shell-on, deveined

Instructions:

  1. In the stockpot, combine water, crab boil seasoning, seafood seasoning, lemons, onions, and garlic. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Add potatoes to the boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the sausage and corn to the pot. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Add the shrimp to the pot. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Drain the contents of the pot using a colander or slotted spoon. Spread the boil onto a newspaper-covered table or large serving platter. Serve immediately.
