- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease the baking dish with butter.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the flounder fillets in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the lemon-herb mixture evenly over the flounder fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the flounder is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with lemon slices (if desired) and serve immediately. The fish will easily flake apart once done.
