Ingredients:

  • 2 (4-6 oz) flounder fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease the baking dish with butter.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the flounder fillets in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Pour the lemon-herb mixture evenly over the flounder fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the flounder is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices (if desired) and serve immediately. The fish will easily flake apart once done.
