Ingredients:

  • 4 Basa fillets (approx. 6 oz/170g each), thawed if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Place Basa fillets in the baking dish.
  4. Pour the lemon-herb mixture evenly over the fish fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  6. Serve immediately.
