Ingredients:

  • Salmon Fillets (approx. 6 oz / 170g each)
  • ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • cloves Fresh Garlic, minced very finely
  • tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • tablespoons Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • ¼ teaspoon Dried Oregano (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Season evenly on all sides with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, and optional oregano. Whisk well until combined.
  4. Spoon or brush approximately two-thirds of the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top surface of each salmon fillet. Reserve the remaining butter mixture.
  5. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature reaches 145°F/63°C).
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle the remaining reserved garlic butter mixture over the hot fillets immediately before serving. Garnish with extra fresh parsley if desired.
