Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) tilapia fillets
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 3 tbsp (43g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried oregano
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) paprika
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets completely dry with paper towels, place them in the baking dish, and lightly brush with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, and paprika until well-emulsified.
  4. Spoon the butter mixture generously over each fillet and top each piece of fish with a lemon slice.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily from the thickest part of the fillet.
