Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 rounds fresh lemon slices
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels and lightly brush the skin side with a small amount of olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and honey until thick and glossy. Brush the mixture generously over the top and sides of each fillet.
- Preheat grill to medium-high (400°F/200°C) and oil the grates. Place salmon skin-side down and grill for 4–5 minutes without moving until the skin releases naturally.
- Flip the fillets carefully and grill for another 3–4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (medium-rare) or 140°F (medium).
- Transfer salmon to a platter and let the fillets rest for 5 minutes before serving.
