Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (680g) Basa fillets, thawed if frozen, patted dry
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp (56g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Lemon, juiced (approx. 2-3 tbsp juice) and zested (about 1 tsp zest)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp Fresh dill, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional, for a touch of heat)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease the baking dish with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, dill (if using), red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the basa fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter garlic lemon sauce evenly over the fish. Ensure all fillets are evenly coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a minute or two before serving. Garnish with extra fresh parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
