Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) Basa fillets, thawed if frozen, patted dry
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp (56g) Unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Lemon, juiced (approx. 2-3 tbsp juice) and zested (about 1 tsp zest)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional, for a touch of heat)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease the baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, dill (if using), red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange the basa fillets in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter garlic lemon sauce evenly over the fish. Ensure all fillets are evenly coated.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  5. Remove from the oven and let rest for a minute or two before serving. Garnish with extra fresh parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
